Help and usage 

Getting started
In short, just download and install the application and data file, plug your phone's audio to your amp or headphones, run the application, set the volume to the max, and press play to feel the beat. Gabba gabba hey!

You'll need to have both the application binary package and the data file installed, but you don't have to download and install the data file again everytime you update the application over previous install.

(NOTICE: SIS files are self-signed, so you'll need to set your phone to accept unsigned applications. This is done from your phone's menu: Settings->Data mgr.->App.mgr.->Options->Settings->Software installation=All & Online certificate check=Off.)

Usage and key mappings:

Play mode:
Play mode is intended for playing drum patterns. Playback tempo and volume can be changed at any time during playback.

Controls:
- "Options" softkey: Open options menu.
- "Edit mode" softkey: Switch to edit mode.
- YES (green): Toggle play/stop.
- OK: Toggle play/pause.
- UP/DOWN: Change tempo.
- LEFT/RIGHT: Change volume.
-'0'-'9': Set volume 0-90%.

Edit mode:
Edit mode is intended for creating and editing pattern data. Edit mode can be also used for playing patterns, but there are no options to adjust tempo or volume.

Controls:
- "Options" softkey: Open options menu.
- "Play mode" softkey: Switch to play mode.
- YES (green): Toggle play/stop.
- OK: Toggle selected tick.
- UP/DOWN: Change track.
- LEFT/RIGHT: Change position.
- '*'/'#': Change position by whole beat.
- '0'-'9': Toggle selected tick with volume 0-90%.
- C: Mute track / Clear track / Clear pattern.

Options menu:
Options menu contains all functionality not mapped to shortcut keys. Commands are grouped to submenus depending on the context they are used in.

Controls:
- Pattern submenu: Pattern pregs / New / Open / Save / Save as / Delete.
- Sample kit submenu: Kit info / Select kit.
- Settings: Edit application settings.
- Help and info: Help / Homepage / Check updates / About.
- Exit: Exit application.

Pattern prefs:
Properties of the current pattern can be viewed and changed from pattern prefs view. Pattern properties are stored into the pattern file when it is saved and loaded from the pattern file when pattern is loaded. Properties are cleared if new pattern is created.

Controls:
- Title: Pattern title text.
- Length: Pattern length in number of beats.
- Hits: Number of hits per beat.
- BPM: Tempo in beats per minute.
- Author: Pattern author text.
- Comment: Pattern comment text.

Settings:
Application wide settings can be changed from settings view. Settings are stored in a settings file and are automatically loaded when the application starts up.

Controls:
- Default author: Default author text for new patterns.
- Tick size (portrait): Size of one tick of pattern data in portrait mode.
- Tick size (landscape): Size of one tick of pattern data in landscape mode.
- Default volume: Default volume that is set at startup.
- Volume variance: Amount of random volume variance for each hit.
- Layout: Define screen layout: Auto / Portrait / Landscape.
- Data location: Location of the pattern search path.
